About TEAM JAOS

TEAM JAOS is a rally raid project which began celebrating the 30th anniversary of the company’s foundation of JAOS.

On our first year of 2015, we teamed up with Ikuo Hanawa who participates in off-road racing all around the world and we won the 8th place overall/2nd place by class, racing with our demo car “TOYOTA FJ Cruiser” which was equipped with mostly JAOS products on the market and necessary safety system.

The following year, we brought TOYOTA HILUX REVO from Thailand, which was not yet available in Japan, and we made it into a rally car. The driver for this year was our employee, Tomonori Noto, and we won the 5th place overall.

For our third year of 2017, we have decided to race with the same machine and the same driver as last year. The co-driver was handed over from our CEO, Daijiro Akahoshi, to Kazuhiro Tanaka from KYB Corporation, who had been a service crew since 2015.

What TEAM JAOS aims for…

By participating the rally as TEAM JAOS, we are aiming to get feedbacks on our products and developing them efficiently. KYB corporation is a supplier of our performance brand “BATTLEZ” and we have been teaming up with them for Asia Cross Country Rally since 2015. We are recieving feedbacks from Mr. Tanaka from KYB Corporation, who is also the designer of the shock absorber, by having him as a co-driver. Even though there might be a difficult time, we strongly believe that taking part in the Asia Cross Country Rally is very meaningful in order to develop our technical skills and promote our products to the world’s market.
